The 2026 Red Racing Mako – Barcelona Edition by acclaimed carbon fibre artist Alastair Gibson is inspired by the 2026 Ferrari Formula One Grand Prix car and created to commemorate Sir Lewis Hamilton's landmark first victory with Ferrari at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Based on Gibson's iconic Racing Mako design, this limited-edition sculpture captures the speed, agility, and aerodynamic elegance of the mako shark—the fastest shark in the world's oceans. Combining authentic motorsport materials with contemporary sculpture, the piece reflects the relentless pursuit of performance shared by both Formula One engineering and nature's ultimate ocean racer.

Selected components and materials incorporated within the sculpture originate from modern Grand Prix racing technology, creating a unique connection between motorsport history and fine art.
