UNITED STATES CUSTOMERS
Due to recent change in US customs law we are required to submit a social security number with all orders to clear customs. We will never share this with anyone other than the courier. This information will be asked for when arranging delivery.
Before we ship any piece of art to a private address, we will contact you to arrange a suitable date for a courier to deliver it to you. The gallery can’t allocate a specific time for the piece to be delivered, but this will be arranged with the courier.
Each piece of art is carefully wrapped and protected before being shipped to a private address. If you have chosen to have your art delivered (rather than collecting from a gallery) then we have to fit it with Perspex rather than glass to ensure it can be transported safely.
On delivery and before signing for your piece of art, please check all external packaging for damage. If you are happy with the condition, please sign the paperwork as ‘in good Condition’. If there is visible damage or you suspect there may be damage then please accept the delivery but sign the paperwork as ‘damaged goods’. Please then contact us to arrange for the piece to be collected for return.
When opening your package, please take care and allow for possible movement in transit. Once open, it’s very important that you retain all internal and external packaging in case the piece needs to be returned to us.
Due to the size of our art, we are unable to offer a gift-wrapping service. We do, however, offer gift vouchers which can be purchased over the phone or in person in the gallery.
Our associated courier companies are DPD for national and TNT for overseas deliveries. From time to time we may use an alternative courier service provider.
We estimate delivery at between 2 to 7 working days where possible. Due to the size of the gallery not all items can be stored on site. On rare occasions this may slightly affect delivery time, but we'll always strive to get your item to you as close to the delivery estimate as possible.
Once delivery day is arranged you will receive a email or text from carrier of your 2 hour time slot.
On dispatch you will be given a tracking number to enable you to track your parcel.
Please bear in mind during particularly busy times of the year whilst we operate a next day delivery policy (excluding weekends and bank holidays) that deliveries can be subject to slight delay.
You must ensure that you check your goods on receipt and notify us within 24 hours of any problems.
Delivery charges are calculated on checkout and based on both items and delivery destination.
Please note that VAT is included on delivery charges where applicable.
Customs, Duties and Taxes for Overseas destinations
In addition you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination.
Any additional charges for overseas delivery and customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.
Please note that when ordering from westovergallery.co.uk you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard your privacy international customers and customers dispatching products abroad should be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
