The Answer

A framed and hand-signed limited edition of 90 wall sculpture by Nic Joly entitled The Answer The Answer is Nic Joly's most ambitious work to date, with more people and interaction in the piece than ever before, and bigger than any edition he has attempted. Every aspect of the piece is hand-made by Nic in his studio, from the colourful dresses the female figures wear to the balloon, which is cast in plaster and then mounted on hand-painted wire. On the meaning behind the piece, Nic says: "In the world we live in there are times when we forget what is important and what can be the answer to all the darkness we witness. We have the answer staring us in the face as John Lennon so rightly wrote in 1967. A lot has changed since he wrote those lyrics almost 50 years, but the message is still as important to us all as it was then. I am a romantic and the sentiment of this piece is so close to my heart. It is my favourite from my spring releases."
