Mclaren M Mako | Carbon Art

Inspired by the 2025 McLaren Racing Formula One Grand Prix car, the McLaren M Mako sculpture combines the speed and precision of Formula One engineering with the powerful form of one of the ocean’s fastest predators—the mako shark.

A variation of the original Racing Mako concept, this sculpture captures the sleek, aggressive silhouette and racing character of the fastest shark in our oceans. The design reflects the shared qualities of both Formula One cars and the mako shark: speed, efficiency, and perfectly engineered form.

The body of the sculpture is crafted from high-performance carbon fibre, finished with a UV-resistant clear coating that highlights the distinctive weave while protecting the surface. Fine detailing and markings inspired by McLaren’s 2025 racing livery add to the dynamic motorsport aesthetic.

Several elements of the sculpture incorporate materials and components associated with modern Grand Prix technology. The mounting base includes titanium drive pegs and an inconel stainless steel reversion cone sourced from a modern Formula One GP car, reinforcing the connection between advanced motorsport engineering and sculptural design.

Mounted on a black coated wooden base featuring the iconic white Pirelli tyre ID logo, the sculpture appears poised in motion, reflecting both the elegance and raw speed of its inspiration.
