Commissioned by The National Spitfire Project for an exclusive collection of carbon fibre Supermarine Spitfire MKV sculptures to support their fundraising efforts."The Spitfire is an enduring symbol of innovation, engineering excellence, hope and courage. In the same way the original Spitfire Fund raised money to help production of the aircraft itself, the National Spitfire Project is raising money to create a worthy monument to the men and women who designed, built, flew and maintained the Supermarine Spitfire. Honouring the past, inspiring our future." -The National Spitfire Project

For each sculpture sold, £1000 will be donated to The National Spitfire Project and the U.K Government have pledged to match fund this amount- making the total donation from each purchase an impressive £2000!

You will also have the option to add your very own signature onto the mast of the Spitfire monument which will be erected in Southampton- the birthplace of the aircraft.

We also encourage you to share your story with us on what this iconic aircraft means to you or your loved ones- to be published in a commemorative book by Carbon Art 45.

The Supermarine Spitfire K5054 was the original prototype of the legendary Supermarine Spitfire. It's sleek elliptical wings, innovative stressed-skin construction and powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine set a new standard for fighter design, laying the foundation for more than 20,000 Spitfires that followed.

It made its historic first flight on 5 March 1936 from what was then Eastleigh Aerodrome (now Southampton Airport). The flight lasted just eight minutes, with chief test pilot Joseph "Mutt" Summers at the controls.

After landing, he famously remarked, "I don't want anything touched" – high praise indeed for R. J. Mitchell's revolutionary fighter.
