The Hammer Pup by Alastair Gibson is a striking example of how advanced engineering and nature’s design can come together in sculpture. This piece is a scaled interpretation of the original Engineered Hammer, created at the true birth size of a hammerhead shark pup. The sculpture captures the distinctive form and flowing geometry of this fascinating shark, highlighting the elegant lines that make the hammerhead one of the ocean’s most recognisable species.
Crafted as part of the Carbon Art 45 series, selected components and materials incorporated into the sculpture originate from modern Grand Prix cars, bringing genuine motorsport engineering into the artwork. The use of these materials reflects the precision, innovation, and performance associated with elite racing technology.
Each Hammer Pup sculpture celebrates the meeting point of nature, aerodynamics, and advanced materials, resulting in a visually striking piece that blends marine inspiration with the world of high-performance engineering. The sculpture is produced in a strictly limited edition of 92 pieces, making every work a highly collectible example of contemporary carbon art.
