Dale Bowen was born in Staffordshire in 1963, where he continues to live and work today. After studying Art at college in Newcastle, Dale began his career as a master potter, working at both Coalport China and later Wedgwood for fifteen years. During his time in the prestigious department, he created numerous notable commissions, including works for the Queen Mother’s 100th birthday and HMS Victory celebrations. His ceramic creations have been exhibited in museums worldwide and have fetched prices in excess of £100,000.
Despite his success in ceramics, painting remained Dale’s “first love.” Returning to canvas, he has enjoyed phenomenal success with his playful acrylic originals. Bursting with colour, texture, and life, his works invite viewers to explore whimsical landscapes where animals, people, and vehicles hide among the scenes. Each piece carries a humorous, heartfelt title, reflecting the artist’s evident affection for his subjects.
Dale’s vibrant artworks are cherished across the country, with his Limited Edition collections consistently selling out in record time. His joy in painting shines through every creation, bringing delight to collectors of all ages.
This Valentine’s Day, Dale is thrilled to launch a new Valentine’s collection, bringing love, charm, and whimsy to his signature style. Each piece is crafted to celebrate the warmth and affection of the season, perfect for gifting or adding a joyful statement to any home.
