For ‘A Brush with Nature’ I had searched endlessly for Tim, Kenya’s most famous iconic Tusker, finally finding him in the last few hours of the trip. We filmed a stunning sequence for the programme with this huge elephant. Sadly and poignantly the day before our preview with Born Free in February of this year Tim was found laying near the park entrance where I’d first seen him. He had died of natural causes aged 50.
