The urban backdrops in Paul’s paintings were first inspired from his days on the Inland waterways with the graffiti ridden footpaths. Having done some initial paintings of ducks and geese he progressed to painting other animals in a similar backdrop. Having a penchant for pigs he came up with Sow Sister.
