It then becomes something of a battle as he finally wills his ideas onto the canvas. It is his dogged determination that overcomes the challenges – if something is not working, he will persevere until it comes right in the end.

‘King Con’ is a powerful statement piece highlighting the symbol most redolent of the Covid-ridden years, the discarded masks creating more detritus in an ever more polluted world. The gorilla symbolises strength, intelligence and gentleness and hope that normality will somehow prevail.
