Nic Joly has gone back to his roots with this collection of smaller works, echoing how he started out with small figures. "I see every piece as a small piece of theatre," says Nic.

"These smaller works are made from materials and things I find, be they stones from Cornwall, sand from Turkey, pieces of metal from I have found on walks. Lamp posts are made from glass, wire, metal tubing I have collected. Crosses carved from Oak, trees from 70 strands of wire, moss and real tree bark dust. The list could go on."

All original works are handmade by Nic Joly, from concept to framed artwork, and can take any size or shape. These can be as involved as is necessary to tell the story or play out the concept he has developed. 

"Every single thing in all the pieces has been hand made by me. The figures as always are all carved from plaster as one off people, sometimes taking days to complete one figure."
