Introducing Mark Davies’ Autumn / Winter 2026 Collection

Six exciting new releases celebrating cinema, nostalgia and the power of storytelling

At Westover Gallery, we are delighted to introduce Mark Davies’ Autumn / Winter 2026 collection, featuring six distinctive new artworks that showcase his imagination, creativity and passion for storytelling.

This latest collection marks a significant milestone in Mark’s artistic journey, celebrating ten years of his much-loved Lost in Hollywood portfolio while exploring new creative directions and revisiting some truly iconic films.

From supernatural adventures and cult movie classics to inspiring stories of resilience and deeply moving tributes, each release offers something different. Together, they demonstrate the remarkable breadth of Mark’s work and the emotional connections his art continues to create with collectors.

Let’s discover the six new releases.

1. Trouble’s Coming! — Ghostbusters

Ten years after launching his Lost in Hollywood collection with Who You Gonna Call Now?, Mark Davies returns to the supernatural world of Ghostbusters with Trouble’s Coming!

This latest release celebrates the iconic ECTO-1, the legendary converted hearse that has become one of cinema’s most recognisable vehicles. Set against the backdrop of the creepy, deteriorating STANZ Auto Salvage barn, the artwork captures a wonderfully atmospheric scene filled with drama, mystery and hidden details.

Mark has always loved the distinctive vehicle, and the idea of presenting it battered, dusty and hidden away in a forgotten salvage yard had been with him for years. Now, as part of the tenth-anniversary celebrations, he has finally brought that vision to life.

The imposing barn dominates the composition, its dark silhouette creating an almost demonic presence against the dramatic sky. Look closer and you’ll discover some rather spooky residents, along with subtle references scattered throughout the scene.

One of Mark’s favourite details is a collection of red candles arranged in the shape of the unmistakable Ghostbusters logo.

Trouble’s Coming! is a fitting tribute to a much-loved film and a wonderful celebration of ten years of Lost in Hollywood.

2. Never Grow Old, Never Die — The Lost Boys

Following the popularity of his 2019 artwork Thou Shalt Not Fall, Mark returns to the cult classic The Lost Boys with Never Grow Old, Never Die.

Collectors have long requested a follow-up, particularly one that ventures inside the vampires’ lair. This new release answers that call with an atmospheric composition that takes a more subtle, storytelling-led approach.

Created immediately after Lost in Hollywood X, Mark deliberately chose to move away from scenes dominated by recognisable characters. Instead, he wanted to explore the idea that sometimes what we cannot see is far more unsettling than what is directly in front of us.

The result is a wonderfully eerie scene that invites you to look closer, uncover hidden references and imagine what might be lurking in the shadows.

Rather than relying on a predictable palette of cold colours and darkness, Mark introduces warmth and vibrant flashes of green and pink against the moonlit sky. A fallen chandelier adds further drama, while the contrast between stillness and flickering flames creates a beautifully unsettling atmosphere.

The film’s unforgettable soundtrack also provided inspiration during the creative process.

With plenty of references waiting to be discovered, Never Grow Old, Never Die is a must-see for fans of this enduring cult classic.

3. That’s How Winning is Done — Rocky

Inspired by the legendary Rocky films, That’s How Winning is Done is a powerful celebration of resilience, determination and the fighter within us all.

When Mark launched Lost in Hollywood in 2016, the collection included Balboa, a striking abstract artwork depicting Rocky with his fist raised triumphantly towards the sky. Created using intricate, smoke-like strokes and flashes of light, the piece established a distinctive artistic style that Mark has continued to explore.

His latest release takes this approach in a deeply personal direction, inspired by his brother, Chris, whom Mark describes as the strongest person he knows.

The artwork depicts the full figure rising from the ground in a moment of defiance and celebration. Softer colourways distinguish it from the bold palette of Balboa, while dramatic, warm lighting brings the composition to life.

But this is about far more than boxing. At its heart is a universal message about facing life's challenges, refusing to give up and finding the strength to keep moving forward.

As Mark reflects, victory isn't always about the final outcome. Sometimes, it is about having the courage to keep fighting, even when the odds seem impossible.

Every champion was once a contender who refused to give up.

This inspiring new release is a reminder that true strength comes from within and that there is always something worth celebrating in the battles we overcome.

4. Never Tell Me The Odds — Star Wars

For his latest Star Wars-inspired artwork, Mark Davies explores a more abstract style, using texture, shape and tonal contrast to capture one of the saga’s most memorable moments.

Never Tell Me The Odds depicts Han Solo encased in Carbonite, his unmistakable expression frozen in a scene that has remained iconic for generations of fans.

Mark remembers watching the film as a child and finding the moment genuinely unsettling. The metallic qualities of the Carbonite lend themselves perfectly to a monochromatic palette, with black, white and carefully balanced shades creating depth and drama.

Rather than focusing solely on the central figure, Mark has incorporated key characters associated with Han's imprisonment into the surrounding background. These references are deliberately recognisable, giving fans plenty to discover without distracting from the main image.

The subtly scrawled title adds another thoughtful finishing touch.

This expressive approach allows Mark to work with textures and shapes in a different way from his highly detailed cinematic scenes. The original canvas plays an important role in the creative process, while hand embellishment adds another dimension to the finished artwork.

For Star Wars enthusiasts and collectors alike, Never Tell Me The Odds offers a fresh interpretation of a classic cinematic moment.

5. Lost in Hollywood X — Celebrating ten years of cinematic imagination

The tenth anniversary of Lost in Hollywood called for something truly spectacular, and Mark Davies delivers with Lost in Hollywood X.

This ambitious movie mash-up brings together an extraordinary range of characters, vehicles and cinematic worlds in one dramatic composition.

Following the success of earlier crossover artworks such as Spielberg’s Hollywood, Tarantino’s Hollywood and Exit Light, Enter Night, Mark once again challenges himself to unite films with very different visual identities and personalities.

Set in the Hollywood Hills, the scene features a spectacular road, an expansive ocean view and a dramatic, burning sky. As the composition unfolds, familiar cinematic worlds begin to converge, creating a moment of extraordinary scale and silent chaos.

The AT-AT Walker from Star Wars was one of the first elements Mark introduced, followed by the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and the balloon-lifted house from Up.

And that is only the beginning.

On the ground, an intriguing gathering of characters creates its own web of tension and drama. The Joker walks towards the viewer, accompanied by a solitary wolf, while Wolverine approaches and Tony Montana points his gun. Nearby, Mickey O'Neil sits cross-legged with his dog, seemingly bemused by the unfolding scene.

Rather than simply filling the composition with recognisable references, Mark has created connections between the characters, allowing rivalries, personalities and stories to emerge.

The result is an artwork that rewards repeated viewing, with countless details waiting to be discovered.

Interestingly, the name Lost in Hollywood was inspired by a song by American band System of a Down, which Mark listened to while working on his earlier Storyteller artworks. What began as a creative spark has grown into an extraordinary collection spanning a decade of cinematic inspiration.

Lost in Hollywood X celebrates that journey while leaving plenty of possibilities for the future.

Which character do you think is the most dangerous in this extraordinary gathering?

6. Where Memories Take Flight — A tribute to Queen Elizabeth II and Paddington

Completing the Autumn / Winter 2026 collection is Where Memories Take Flight, the final chapter in Mark Davies’ three-part artistic tribute to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, featuring the nation’s favourite little bear, Paddington.

The story began in 2022 with Love Knows No Bounds, released following the sad passing of Her Late Majesty. The artwork received an extraordinary response, with the entire edition selling out.

In 2023, Mark followed it with A Letter to Her Majesty, a deeply poignant scene depicting Paddington sitting with a letter he never had the chance to post. Its tender portrayal of grief and an unfinished goodbye touched the hearts of collectors across the country.

Now, Where Memories Take Flight brings the story to a wonderfully uplifting conclusion.

Rather than dwelling on sadness, this final instalment explores the comfort that can emerge through remembrance. It is a gentle reminder that grief takes time, that healing does not mean forgetting and that the memories we treasure can eventually bring smiles as well as tears.

The message at its heart is beautifully simple: no storm lasts forever. When the sunshine returns, so does the rainbow.

Through Paddington, a character synonymous with kindness, warmth and British identity, Mark has created a fitting conclusion to a tribute that has resonated so deeply with collectors.

Where Memories Take Flight celebrates the enduring power of love, the importance of remembrance and the comfort that can be found in the memories we carry with us.
