Westover Gallery’s latest exhibition has captivated visitors with its blend of faith, artistry, and storytelling. The gallery proudly hosted internationally acclaimed artist Julie Ann Scott for an unforgettable preview evening of her dual exhibition — Land and Seascapes and STAND. Combining technical mastery with deep emotional and spiritual resonance, her work continues to draw art lovers across Bournemouth and beyond.
Westover Gallery was filled with inspiration and connection as guests gathered on Saturday 8th November to meet Julie Ann in person. The artist shared insights into her creative journey and the prophetic inspiration behind her work, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the heart of her practice.
Her STAND series, inspired by the courage and faith of World War II stories, moved many to tears. Having already been exhibited at St Mary’s Woolnoth Church and Windsor Castle, this extraordinary collection speaks powerfully of resilience, sacrifice, and hope.
The exhibition also featured evocative works by Marc Marot and Steven Lovatt, whose war-inspired sculptures complemented Julie Ann’s paintings beautifully. Together, their art created a space for remembrance and reflection — a poignant tribute to the human spirit.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for this special evening. Your enthusiasm and support helped make it a truly memorable celebration of art and faith.
If you haven’t yet experienced STAND, there’s still time — the exhibition continues at Westover Gallery until 20 November 2025. Come and be inspired by a collection that celebrates courage, beauty, and the enduring power of light through art.
