Vibrant and full of soul, the designs by artist Jan Erika are created from the love of nature, her mood and as an ex classical cellist, Jan feels and sees images which create the story of her work, no words but colour with a play on textures and shapes and focus on flow.
"My passion and creativity is at the core of what you see on the canvas. I begin, drawing from the actual flower or plant, then combine the shape with my own imagination and stylistic nods, often towards fashion houses, such as Missoni and Pucci, with a cubist slant, reminiscent of Picasso. I use a wide selection of high-spec brushes, acrylic, ink and gouache to bring my designs to life, with each canvas" The aesthetics of Jan's lively designs are most certain to appeal to anyone with an appreciation of colour and visual beauty."
Jans' designs are no stranger to one of the world most famous department stores, Fortnum and Mason where Jan has painted live. Her work can be seen in collections around the world. Imagine the vision of a vibrant forest as a backdrop to a beautiful lounge measuring 10' x 6' as if you could step straight in or a small canvas, bright, bold and textured taking your imagination to a place only you dream of.
