Westover Gallery, Bournemouth, is proud to host a landmark exhibition from 8–20 November 2025, featuring the exceptional works of Julie Ann Scott, alongside Marc Marot and Steven Lovatt. This dual exhibition brings together landscapes, seascapes, and World War II-inspired art in a moving exploration of courage, resilience, and creativity.
Julie Ann Scott is one of the UK’s most acclaimed contemporary artists, with over 20 years of professional experience. Known for her technical brilliance and emotive storytelling, Julie Ann combines visual mastery with spiritual insight, creating works that resonate on multiple levels.
Her upcoming exhibitions at Westover Gallery showcase two major bodies of work:
Featuring her signature turtles, koi, and coastal scenes, these oil paintings are luminous celebrations of nature, capturing light, movement, and the serene beauty of the British landscape.
A poignant series of World War II paintings, STAND reflects on heroism, sacrifice, and the human spirit. Exhibited at St Mary’s Woolnoth Church, London and Windsor Castle, and featured in her published book STAND, the series pairs nine evocative paintings with prophetic reflections for today’s world. This collection highlights Julie Ann’s ability to combine historical accuracy with deep emotional and spiritual resonance.
Julie Ann’s work has been showcased internationally, including Washington DC, and she recently completed the official painting for the 2025 National Day of Prayer in the United States. Her art invites viewers to reflect, remember, and be inspired.
Preview Event: Julie Ann will be in attendance for an exclusive preview on Saturday 8 November, 4–6pm.
Steven Lovatt complements the exhibition with his roses entwined with barbed wire sculptures, visually exploring the tension between beauty and pain, love and loss, and the enduring human spirit. Lovatt’s sculptures act as modern memorials, inviting reflection and contemplation alongside Julie Ann Scott’s WWII-themed works.
Marc Marot adds an immersive, technological dimension to the exhibition. Using the Artivive app, visitors can watch and listen as his WWII-inspired paintings are narrated by a veteran, connecting the art directly to real-life experiences. This augmented reality feature allows each piece to transcend the canvas, becoming a living tribute to courage and sacrifice.
Marking 80 years since the end of World War II, this exhibition is both a tribute and an educational experience. Together, Julie Ann Scott, Steven Lovatt, and Marc Marot create a multi-layered journey that combines visual beauty, historical context, and immersive storytelling.
Visitors can experience:
Artistic mastery through Julie Ann Scott’s landscapes and historical narratives.
Symbolism and emotion in Steven Lovatt’s sculptures.
Augmented reality storytelling via Marc Marot’s Artivive-enhanced paintings.
