TOP ARTISTS SET TO STORM WESTOVER GALLERY WITH FIGURATIVE SHOW
The artwork of five of Washington Green Fine Art’s most popular artists is set to storm the Westover Gallery this month in their upcoming exhibition. With each artist demonstrating a desire to capture real life moments, the figurative art that will be displayed will both captivate and intrigue the audience.
The stunning exhibition will run from Saturday 27th May to Sunday 11th June at Westover Gallery.
Figurative art is recognised by its strong references to the real world and is close representation of the human figure. Many artists draw much inspiration from the Dutch masters like Johannes Vermeer or Jan De Bray, who used dark colour palettes to create intense drama and realistic works. However, each artist has reinterpreted what the traditional meaning of ‘figurative’ implies, with varied colours and influences permeating their collections.
The five artists whose art will be displayed in the exhibition will be Andrew Kinsman, Hamish Blakely, Carly Ashdown, Richard Blunt and Rob Hefferan. With celebrities and royalty alike being amongst their collectors, this exhibition promises to be one not to be missed, with art that draws every eye.
Ally Tanswell, Gallery Manager of Westover Gallery, said:
“This exhibition has been greatly anticipated as we welcome art by not just one, but five of Washington Green Fine Art’s most popular artists. As they capture snap shots of real life, the audience can reimagine themselves within the art – and that is what makes figurative art so captivating.”
We look forward to welcoming you for a glass of pimms whilst you explore our exhibition!
