An exhibition of art by Rock Legend, Ronnie Wood, from The Rolling Stones.

A collection of paintings by rock legend, Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones will be on display at Westover Gallery during November.

The body of work, titled Raw Instinct, will be available to view at Westover Gallery on Westover Road, Bournemouth from 3rd until 26th November. This is the biggest exhibition of Ronnie’s work outside of London.

Raw Instinct features distinguished portraits of Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts and Keith Richards, alongside paintings and sketches of family, friends, written words and colourful landscapes. Born into a musical and artistic family, Ronnie Wood has painted and drawn for over 35 years and received formal art training at Ealing College of Art.

Commenting about his work, he says: “There is no kind of therapy like the one you have from starting and seeing a picture through to the end.“In a secret sort of way, I like the people that I draw to see the way I’ve depicted them. Unlike music, it’s a solo effort. There’s no one else to blame.”

Ally Tanswell, Sales Director said: “It isn’t every day that you have the chance to be in the presence of paintings by one of the biggest legends in rock history. “We can’t wait to welcome art enthusiasts and Ronnie fans to the gallery to view Raw Instinct. Each piece has been created to the finest quality and really has to be viewed in person to be fully appreciated.”

This Event will be taking place on Friday 3rd of November 2017
