New Artist *ANNABEL MENHENEOTT*

Annabel's talent and interest in painting may have been inherited from her maternal great grandfather, Rowland Hill, a Royal Academician and founder member of the Staithes Group of Artists. The daughter of a Royal Marine and a Teacher, Annabel's work has been influenced by her parents work. Her father, a Royal Marine enabled the family to travel widely and often live by the sea - an obvious influence of her work. Lucky enough to live in culturally rich areas such as Rome and Naples Annabel was always surrounded by interesting environments. As a Special Needs teacher her mother sparked an interest in the healing qualities of art and art as therapy which provided a basis for research at University.

Annabel's paintings communicate an atmosphere; some convey a feeling of emptiness and vastness whilst others suggest a feeling of calm. Call into Westover Gallery now to view her artwork for yourself
