Kosta Boda
Mini Biography:
Kosta is Sweden's oldest glassworks still in use. It is a place with an amazing history. The glassworks was founded in 1742 by two country governors, Anders Koskull and Georg Bogislaus Stael von Holstein. They were both former generals in the army of King Charles XII. They chose the Kosta location, deep in the woods of Småland due to the unlimited resources of timber. Large quantities of wood were needed to keep the furnaces burning day and night.
